Luke the Drifter could say a lot of things that Hank the Star couldn't. Hank Williams said that the Luke recors were for "for the take-home trade. I don't like for these songs to make the jukeboxes. They are mostly sad songs about mother, funerals, death and men with broken hearts." Luke the Drifter recorded a lot of mournfull recitations of heart-tugging music.
